Java can be Weird: Things You Learn While Studying for a Java Certification

We are happy to announce that Scott Selikoff will be our special guest for this month's meeting.

Have you ever considered getting a Java certification but weren't sure how to start? Will obtaining a certification make you a better developer?

In the first half of this talk, Scott will explore these topics and more, including some tips on how to prepare for a certification exam. He will also discuss various options if you already have an older certification.

The second half of this talk will cover oddities in the Java language, often encountered while studying for a certification. Scott expects to trick at least a few of you, as some of these results can be surprising.

Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts, Room 106, at Drew University starting promptly at 6:30pm. Meetings are open to the public, and visitors are encouraged to join ACGNJ.
